Weekend La Liga match review The recent developments in the Camp Nou has seen some very interesting matches being played. The first such tight match was the one between title contenders – FC Barcelona and the league leaders Valencia. Though it is predicted that the match between Atlético Madrid and Barcelona played in Jornada 3 would be the one that has the most chances to win the Title of La Liga. But the Atlético Madrid team has to keep consistency in their game to prove their potential to win the title.

A large mass of the crowd still feels that the trophy would go either to Real Madrid or Barcelona, who are considered as the prospective contenders of the title. The normal feeling around the corner is that teams like Valencia, Villarreal, and Sevilla are there to put pressure to the two high qualified contenders but their chances of winning the trophy are rare.

Argentina wins over world champions Spain in a friendly match Argentina may not be the world champion but no one can take away the fact that it is one of the classiest team in the world. Argentina proved it one more time it is a great side, as they thwarted the world champion, Spain 4-1 in a friendly match played in Buenos Aires. Goals from Lionel Messi, Carlos Tévez , Gonzalo Higuaín and Sergio Agüero, assisted by some sloppy work by Pepe Reina made sure that world champions weren’t invincible. After the World cup debacle, this should do a world of good to the Argentine side. This will give them the much needed morale booster as they gear up for the next season.

Soccer stars play match to raise funds for Haiti

The recent earthquake in Haiti resulted in the death of over 200,000 people and has also rendered more than three million people homeless. It has led to a nightmarish situation in the poorest country of the Western Hemisphere. In order to lend a helping hand to the victims of this disaster over 80 soccer greats of all times from around 17 countries played a charity match in Lisbon. The match was played at Luz stadium with tickets costing 10 euros each.
