According to the opinion of the personal medical advisor of Michael Owen, the striker is all set to make a comeback on the World stage. This is wonderful news for all the fans and for Sir Alex Ferguson as well.

Manchester United has signed the star on a two-year deal. However, if John Green is to be believed Owen has become much fitter by undertaking his programmes. He said that the striker’s medical issues had more to do with the lack of proper advice rather than him being susceptible to injuries.

Michael Owen tore his cruciate ligament while playing against Sweden in the World Cup, 2006. The program with John Green took Owen’s entire body in consideration with primary focus on leg strength. The maintenance programme under him has freed Owen from the recurring hamstring injury.

Michael Owen has been plagued by injuries throughout his career. He has had surgery on his groins and has had a number of ankle strains and hamstring related problems. The knee injury which he sustained against Sweden had him miss the entire season following the World Cup in 2006.

In the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez, Owen would sure have a great responsibility as the main forward of the United. There are some special provisions in his contract and he would be paid for the number of matches that he plays. Although Owen is quite elated at the prospect of playing for the Manchester United, there has been no official confirmation of his signing.

Poor Wayne. He worked hard but didn't have any service. Shocked that United went out, but its all they deserved.

hey jason, nice article, and definitely something to think about. It is true that there is a huge gulf between say club soccer, high school soccer, and college level soccer. You know that I want to play at the NCAA level, but I do understand that, realistically, I'm just not
