messimaradonaDiego Maradona, one of the greatest players of football is back to the World Cup stage. But, this time he isn’t playing for Argentina but is the coach. I am sure he would have loved to be on the ground playing, but Messi is ensuring that he feels there is someone who can fill the great man’s shoes.

Lionel Messi, just like Maradona wears the number 10 jersey and is widely considered as the best player of the current generation and has been compared with the greats of the past. But there is an uncanny resemblance that Messi shares with the great Maradona and his ability with the football has brought back memories of the golden years of Maradona. messi2

So far in this world, Messi hasn’t been able to score but his contribution to his side’s victories is huge. He is not just a striker but also has this great ability to create scoring opportunities for others and this really sets him apart. It is unfortunate that he hasn’t scored yet, but it has been largely due to some great goal keeping. messi6

Maradona is full of praise for this 22 year old Barcelona player and considers him as treat to watch. According of him, Messi should have majority of the ball as he is a great entertainer and the more you watch him, the more you want. Well, let us hope that he continues his great run and score lots of goals in this World Cup and help Argentina win the trophy.

hey jason, nice article, and definitely something to think about. It is true that there is a huge gulf between say club soccer, high school soccer, and college level soccer. You know that I want to play at the NCAA level, but I do understand that, realistically, I'm just not
