uefa_logo The draw for the play-off rounds was conducted by UEFA last week for the Champions League and Europa League. FC Timisoara will play against Vfb Stuttgart in the champions League. Although Timisoara has the likes of Winston Parks, the Die Schwaben seem the favorites to advance to the group stage in Champions League where they are expected to join Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich. Rothosen are certain of progressing to the next round where they will be joined by Hertha Berlin and Werder Bremen. Hertaha Berlin will have to get the better of Denmark’s brondby IF if they are to make it to the group stages of the Europa League.

Werder Bremen, who are the top seeded team in the Europa League would play against the lowest seeded team of FK Aktobe of Kazakhstan and are the obvious favorites. However any change in the fortune of FK Aktobe would ensure a major upset in European Club football in a long time. The group stages of the European Club football have meant that the four Bundesliga sides are almost more than likely to progress.

The clubs have an added responsibility of performing in the Champions and Europa League in the presence of the German clubs in the group stage and their respective performance may also decide as to who makes it to the top in the Bundesliga table this time around. The race for Bundesliga title has meant the Champions League has become much tighter and has created a new level of significance.

Poor Wayne. He worked hard but didn't have any service. Shocked that United went out, but its all they deserved.

hey jason, nice article, and definitely something to think about. It is true that there is a huge gulf between say club soccer, high school soccer, and college level soccer. You know that I want to play at the NCAA level, but I do understand that, realistically, I'm just not
