Roy Hodgson, West Brom boss, claims that Peter Odemwingie is not available for sale and he will be there for Hawthorns in next season. Rumours were floating around that the Nigerian player will be exchanged for Andrew Johnson and will move to Fulham. However, Hodgson put an end to all these speculations.

Odemwingie has got 10 goals in his pocket for this season inspite of an injury. Not only this, he was the top scorer last season with 15 goals to his credit. According to Roy, Peter is under contract and is a very important player for the team.

He wants to keep the player in the team. What led to all these rumors is the fact that Albion has many players who are out of contract or are in their last year of contract. The list includes Keith Andrews, Jonas Olsson, Nicky Shorey etc. However, Hodgson claims that it is part and parcel of this time and year and the squads won’t be finalized till August, just like every year.

West Bromwich stunned everybody with their 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers, thereby surviving Premier League. The seventh minute goal by Martin Olsson shifted West Brom 11 points above relegation zone. The point worth noting is that the goal left Blackburn in bottom three.

Rovers substitute Anthony Modeste clashed with Albion defender Billy Jones and he was sent off, a big jerk for Blackburn. Foster, former England keeper, successfully saved a double in second half to prevent West Brom’s lead. However, Albion’s 69^th minute goal was savior for the team leading to the victory. The cherry on the cake was their last goal when only five minutes were left when defender Ridgewell got a free kick from Graham Dorrans.

While West Bromwich is partying hard, a bad day for Blackburn is all that everybody is saying.

Luis Enrique, coach of Roma, is in no mood to leave the club and wants to stay connected with the team for another five years. His long term plans are very promising and beneficial for the team. He loves to think that the club’s fans still have faith in the team despite their Serie A defeats. In Serie A, Roma is placed at 6^th position and is five points behind Napoli which is at 5^th position.

Enrique’s contract with Roma will expire in 2013 and he is very loyal to the team. Though he was not able to share much on team’s captain Francesco Totti’s Sicily trip on Saturday to play Palermo. Francesco was reported with some thigh problem due to which he opted out of training.

Fabrice Muamba, who is getting his treatment in Intensive Care Unit at London Chest Hospital, has sent his team a good luck message which not only uplifted their spirits but also spread a wave of happiness across them.

The 23 year old Muamba, had a cardiac arrest when his heart stopped beating for 78 minutes a week ago. His message came as a big boost for the players when they had a 2-1 win over Blackburn at Reebok Stadium. His fiancée Shauna and father Marcel delivered the message for him.

Owen Coyle, Bolton Manager, thanked everybody for their efforts and said that players had a tough time physically and mentally but it is very less when compared to Fabrice’s fight. Blackburn Manager, Steve Kean also wished speedy recovery for Fabrice Muamba.

Known to be the playmaker of the Inter Milan club, Wesley Sneijder is hoped to make a dramatic return to the team for a hard-hitting fight against the AC Milan. Sneijder is out of the club since November 2 when he had a pulled muscle problem but now fast recovering, he is good enough to make his return to the team. It is an incident of Pato’s linking found and rumored with Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window as is alleged by the media of France and Italy. He says that the seriousness required for winning the Champions League is not required here as the FA Cup is played just for enjoyment and the Champions League is more like a compulsory competition which needs to be qualified at any cost.
