decoplayer After spending over a decade in Europe, Portuguese midfielder and former Chelsea player, Deco is excited at the prospect of returning to Brazil and is looking forward to the challenge. The Brazil born midfielder has left English champions Chelsea to join Brazilin club Fluminense, the league-leader.

It has been a longtime dream for Deco to come back and play in his birthplace and after spending about 13 years playing for some of the best clubs across Europe, he will bring in rich experience for the Brazilian club.

Deco still had another year left in his contract with Chelsea, but he didn’t feel motivated enough to continue and wanted something that he always desired for, as he approaches the twilight of his highly decorated career. He has also hinted that Fluminense could be his last football club.

Deco said he didn’t find playing in Europe challenging anymore and believes that playing in Brazil will bring the best out of him. However, he has been very successful as a player in Europe winning the Champions Trophy twice and the English league once. When he left Brazil, he wasn’t known the foot balling circles; Europe brought him fame and success.

As a player Deco achieved all the major feats in Europe and he felt the only thing that was missing in his career was playing in Brazil. Last time around he just played two matches for this first club Corinthians before moving to Europe. Deco hopes to fulfill his dream of playing in Brazil and end his career on a high note.
