My next post will be entirely on College soccer. I have written on the topic here and there, and have even covered on how to get on a college soccer team. Just to clarify there are roughly five levels of college soccer: NCAA D-1, D-2, D-3, NAIA, and NCCAA.
Now I was once in the position where I did not know which colleges/ coaches to contact. Which ones were a complete waste of time and which ones to focus my energy on. Now, there are obvious ones that are harder to get on then others, UCLA, UCSB…the list goes on and on. However, there are teams that I have analyzed and know that actually need players. I will highlight each one in my future posts: the goods, the bads, and the cities are in. After each one, I would contact each coach immediately for next season.
Important: I don’t want people wasting these coaches valuable time and valuable recruitment time, so you must be a valid candidate to play college soccer. Here is a list of requirements:
3-4 year varsity player/ starter
club soccer team starter in mid-upper division
First School: San Diego Christian College
