Arsène Wenger, the manager of the Arsenal is high in his determinations of making the team qualify in the Champions League. He is really serious and has great plans and aspirations from the third round of the game to be held on the Monday night. The manager, however, is proud at the performance of his club for making it 14 seasons in succession to the Champions League group phase. He even is of this opinion that out of the Champions League clubs, it is the Arsenal and the Chelsea who are the real players and even though not today, but once in the future people will realize how tough it is to win it.

Manchester puts best performances in Europe in the recent victory against Schalke

image Sir Alex Ferguson, the Manchester United manager is a happy man these days, at least after the team’s stupendous victory yesterday against Schalke. Ferguson states this victory to be ‘one of the best’ performances by his side in Europe.

With this tremendous win, the boss of the Red Devils can’t stop praising the performances of his chargers. He even went on to compare this victory to the 1999 win over Juventus.

Barcelona marched ahead to reach the Champions League quarterfinals

Champs_Lge_230 Despite some great show being put up and brave efforts being made, Arsenal couldn’t overpower Barcelona who marched forward to be in the Champions League quarterfinals. The last victory with a 3-1 score and an aggregate 4-3, led the way for the final move to the quarterfinals for Barcelona.

Arsenal tried hard and appeared to be heading towards the right direction, however, somehow failed in their attempt. Barcelona, on the other hand, controlled much of the game and created quite a few chances on goal in the first half. Finally Messi opened the scorecard in the third minute of injury time. The first goal boosted the confidence of the Barcelona side.
