Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of the Chelsea team has confirmed that their team has accepted the deal to sign the 17 year old Inter Zapresic goalkeeper, Matej Delac. The bright newcomer would continue to play for his Croatian club until 2011. However, Chelsea has taken the responsibility to pay his wages from now on till he becomes a part of their team.
Matej delac has agreed to a five year contract with Chelsea and is looking forward to play for the team. The Chelsea head coach expressed his views about the highly rated goalkeeper in a press conference saying that Delac is a young goalkeeper who is getting a good exposure in his country and admitted that he can be very useful for Chelsea in future. Ancelotti also confirmed that Delac would become a part of the Chelsea team once he finishes the next season with his Croatian club. According to him, FIFA are also happy with the signing as the deal with the young goalkeeper would provide a solution for the Chelsea team’s future who are presently under a transfer ban for the next two upcoming transfer windows. The Delac deal though has the approval of FIFA.
Carlo Ancelotti also put forward the vision of the Blues in the press meet. He confirmed that the think tank of the team puts a lot of attention on the emerging players from across the world and in case of any possibilities the deal is struck straight away. It will be interesting to see the young goalkeeper in action for the Blues.
